Saline Main Street Update

Saline Main Street volunteers are busy this summer!

by Kelly Idzikowski, Saline Main Street Manager

Now that summer is in full swing, things are really heating up in Saline! The Summer Music Series brought the Saline Fiddlers, the Bluescasters and Toppermost to S. Ann Arbor Street for all to enjoy and still has plenty more free concerts this summer. Today Cleary's Pub Session Band, a Celtic band, will be performing at 7pm in conjunction with the Celtic Festival.

The “Be Bloomin’” baskets have really sprung up this year and are making a huge impact in beautifying the streets of Downtown. Thank you to all who have sponsored a basket or planter box this year!  Your names are listed on our website under the "Be Bloomin'" tab.

The Main Street organization has continued the training provided by the Michigan Main Street Center for each of its four teams as well as the board members, but we are always looking for more people to get involved. We still have two Team Trainings to go: The Design Team training will take place July 24th, from 1 pm-5pm, and the Organization Team training is schedule for July 26th at 6 pm. If you or a friend would like to get more involved with the Main Street program or would simply like more information please contact Kelly Idzikowski at kelly@salinemainstreet.org or visit our website at www.salinemainstreet.org!
