Thursday is Ladies Night in Downtown Saline

Ladies, you’re invited.

Merchants are pulling out all the stops and staying open late to make downtown Saline a playground for women looking for an evening of shopping, dining, drinking and having fun.

Ladies Night Out, sponsored by the Saline Downtown Merchant Association, takes place from 3 to 9 p.m. at several downtown locations.

“We’re just going to have some fun,” said Anne Brandon, owner of the Bling Thing, which is offering a free gift with a $25 purchase and 10 percent off all jewelry. “It’s a night to call your girlfriends, come to downtown Saline, do some shopping, take advantage of all the specials and promotions in the shops and restaurants, and have a great night.

Here’s a list of some of the promotions:

• Accent Jewelers is offering free ring cleaning.
• is serving refreshments, giving away a Vera Bradley gift with purchases, and holding a drawing for a Tea Forte gift basket.
• is giving away free pin-on orchids and holding a drawing for a free floral arrangement. Representatives from Hoola Jewelry and Mary Kay Cosmetics will be in the store.
• is offering drink specials.
• Donna’s Therapuetic Massage will be at New Hairizon Salon from 5 to 8:30 p.m. giving away free chair massages. They are also having a drawing for a free massage.
• has 50 percent appetizer discounts and beer and martini specials.
• is offering a special on a martini, margarita and wine trios, as well as a 50 percent discount on appetizers.
• The will serve refreshments and has marked down basement items by 50 percent.
• will have two massage therapists on duty and offering free massages.
• is giving away a free gift with every purchase of $25 or more and 10 percent off jewelry prices.
• will offer wine tasting.
• has a special exhibition entitled Art With a Heart, from 7-9 p.m. An art sale will be held, with 40 percent of proceeds going to PAWS, an organization that trains assistance dogs for people with disabilities.

• has a special on martinis, beer and appetizers. Bottles of wine are offered for 50 percent off.
