Saline Small Businesses Offer Black Friday and Small Business Saturday Deals

Businesses in Saline will offer shoppers a unique place to shop on Black Friday and Small Business Saturday. Patrons can support the local economy and catch a bite to eat while in search of that perfect Christmas gift.

American Express founded Small Business Saturday in 2010 to help small businesses get exposure during the holiday season. Black Friday takes place the day after Thanksgiving while Small Business Saturday will take place on Saturday, Nov. 24.

Several shops in Saline are offering visitors a chance to come on in and find a unique gift that might be hard to find at a big box store.  Local restaurant are also offering specials on lunch and dinner on Friday and over the weekend.

Here’s a look at some Saline businesses you can visit on Black Friday and Small Business Saturday.

Cobblestone Rose

101 S. Ann Arbor St., Saline

Cobblestone Rose offers variety of jewelry created by local artists as all as Christmas and home décor. According to their Web site, “We specialize in exclusive, hard-to-find items that make your home a special place to be.”  

Quilting Season

7025 E. Michigan Ave., Saline

Offers customers gift certificates and a variety of classes every month.  Classes include beginning quilting, sewing, table runners, crafting pajama pants and more. Gift certificates can also be purchased for classes.  “We offer a variety of fabrics, as well as 100 percent cotton fabrics,” said Florence Rivet of Quilting Season.  

Pineapple House

101 E. Michigan Ave., Saline

Black Friday specials include a free gift with the purchase of any Vera Bradley item. “It’s a very nice gift too,” said owner Joy Ely. Black Friday and Small Business Saturday specials also includes a free gift with a specified purchase amount. “We offer a variety of Vera Bradley items,” said Ely. “We also have the largest collection of Mark Roberts Fairies in the state of Michigan.” Pineapple house also carries a large selection of home décor.”

Saline Picture Frame  

7641 N. Ann Arbor St., Saline

“We have customers that come in and we are always cheaper than the bigger stores even when they offer huge discounts,” said Saline Picture Frame Owner Sara Bowe.  The shop offers custom framing a well as readymade mats. “We offer great deals all year,” said Ely. “If a customer has picture idea for Christmas we can help.”

Spotted Dog Winery

1100 Woodland Drive East, Saline

Producing wine in its Saline location since 2003, the Spotter Dog Winery participates in American Express Small Business Saturday Campaign. Spotted Dog offers a variety of membership packages which includes various amounts of wine as well as shopping discounts. Spotted Dog produces a variety of wine available at several retail locations. Gift cards are available for purchase and can be sent to anyone, anywhere.

Come on in this weekend for happy hour from 3:30-6:30 pm and receive discounts on appetizers and drinks. Brecon also offers daily specials on dinner and lunch. 

Mangiamo’s Italian Grill

107 W. Michigan Ave., Saline

Open Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Manager Paul Pinard said Mangiamo’s offers daily specials on meals and drinks. “We always have bar and menu items,” said Pinard.
