Accent Jewelers Serving Saline Since 1985
The long-time local business offers one-of-a-kind and custom made pieces.
In 1985, Curt Simons opened Accent Jewelers in downtown Saline after noticing the area was growing fast.
“It seemed like a growing area and a good place to open a business,” he said.
Simons said he offers deals and specials at his store all year. “I sell everything as reasonable as possible year-round,” he said.

“I love Accent Jewelry,” said Laurel Bedore, a Patch reader who nominated Accent Jewelry for a business profile story. “They make their jewelry themselves. It is just beautiful.” Bedore added that they do a great job creating one-of-a-kind pieces.
Accent offers a wide selection of rings, bracelets, earrings and many other types of jewelry.

“Customers can get pretty much any type of jewelry,” said Simons. “If I don’t have what they want here, I can get it or make it.”
Accent Jewelers offers custom craftsmanship of any type of jewelry. “I can do just about anything,” said Simons.
Customers can use existing stones in a piece or they can choose stones from one of the distributors Accent works with, Simons said.
If a customer wants to create a one-of-a-kind piece, Simons discusses the styling with the customer to get an idea of a customer’s wants and needs, and then creates a custom design of the product. After discussing styling and choosing the design of the product, Simons creates a custom mold for the piece. “I carve molds for any type of jewelry,” Simons said.
Accent Jewelry also offers customers a variety of unique gem stones that can be used to create a custom piece. A variety of gems are kept in stock, or they can be ordered from a several distributors Simons works with.
“I can order special stones,” Simons said. “We can set any type of stone in a mounting. “
Simons also offers antique jewelry restoration. Customers can bring in antique jewelry like brooches pins or family heirlooms for repair. “I can repair anything broken on an antique piece,” Simons said. “Sometimes tips or prongs are broken and need to be replaced.”
Accent also offers diamond certification, cleaning, watch repair and battery replacement. Simons also can evaluate and inspect stones or appraise jewelry for insurance purposes.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; closed Sunday.
