Fiddlers Restrung Hometown Concert

Fiddlers ReStrung announced their Spring Hometown Concerton Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 6:30 pm featuring Mike Block and Clay Ross as guestperformers. The concert will be at the Ewing Performing Arts Center at Saline High Schoolat 1300 Campus Parkway in Saline, Michigan. The performances by Fiddlers ReStrungand their guest artists will also include performances by the Saline Sixth Grade and MiddleSchool Fiddle Clubs.

Hailed by Yo-Yo Ma as the “ideal musician of the 21st Century”, Mike Block is a pioneeringmulti-genre cellist, composer, and educator living in New York City. Mike's personalprojects include the Mike Block Band and the Triborough Trio. The Band features Mike assinger, cellist and composer, in a mixture of original songs and instrumentals drawing uponmultiple genres. The Trio features unique arrangements of traditional and contemporarymusic from around the world. Mike is also the Artistic Director and host of GALANYC: "Global Art - Local Audience:," a concert series held at the Brooklyn Lyceum featuringa diverse array of musicians and artists in unique collaborations.
