What is Saline Main Street? Find out May 7

Officials from the Saline Main Street board and the Michigan Main Street Center will answer questions at an information meeting May 7.

What is the Main Street program? What is the Main Street four-point approach? How can this program help our community? How do I get involved?

These questions and more will be answered at the an information meeting to be held at 7 p.m. May 7, at the Media Center. Representatives from the Michigan Main Street Center will be on hand to give a short presentation and answer questions.

Members of the Saline Main Street Board will also be on hand and share the summary of the baseline assessment conducted by the Michigan Main Street Center and National Trust Main Street Center. The baseline assessment was the first of the technical services provided by the Michigan Main Street Center since in February.

The assessment was conducted by speaking with several representatives from businesses, organizations, commissions, youth, city staff, and more to assess the state of downtown Saline and help to determine projects for the future. The summary outlines some of the first projects that the new organization will undertake under the Main Street four-point approach.
