DTE To Interrupt Power in Pittsfield Tuesday

DTE Energy will be interrupting power to some Pittsfield Township residents Tuesday, May 22.

DTE Energy will be interrupting power to some Pittsfield Township residents at Tuesday, May 22, according to an alert sent out by the Pittsfield Township Department of Public Safety.

In one area of the township, the outage is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. and expected to last one hour. This outage will impact the area along Lohr Road north of Stonebridge Boulevard and south of Ellsworth Road, on Ellsworth west of Plaza Drive and East of Lohr, on Oak Valley south of Rodeo Drive and on Ranchero south of Rodeo Drive. It will also impact customers located on Bridle Pass Court, Bridle Pass, Sante Fe Trail, Rodeo Drive, Fox Glen Drive, Stonebridge Boulevard, Stonebridge Drive North, Stonebridge Drive South, Boulder Pond Drive, Bayhill Court, Doral Drive, Pebble Court, Forest View Court, Doral Court, Oak Tree Court, Lone Oak Court, Montery Court, Bent Pine Court, Inverness Court, Cypress Pointe Court, St. Andrews Court and Crooked Stick. 

In another area of the township, the power outage is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. and last one hour. This outage will impact customers located on Oak Valley Drive, Horseshoe Circle, Fox Pointe Circle, and Ranchero Drive north of Rodeo Drive. If weather or other circumstances prevent us from doing this work on May 22, the work and the outage will occur on Thursday, May 24.

DTE Energy spokesperson Len Singer said the scheduled work was part of regular maintenance and equipment repairs the company does all across the state.

"We send out the message ahead of time to give customers a heads up so they can be prepared," Singer said.

To prevent any damage that may occur while the power is being restored, DTE Energy advises customers to unplug all televisions, computers and other electronics.
