Weekend Planner: Music is the Antidote for Summer Blahs, and a Little Shopping Doesn’t Hurt Either!

Every week Patch.com will help you plan for a weekend full of fun and interesting activities in your area, and often at a bargain!



When/Where: From 7-9 p.m. Thursday on South Ann Arbor Street in downtown Saline. Bring a comfy camp chair or sit in a folding chair provided for the audience.

Why Go: This week it is the formerly scheduled Six Foot Poles, previously rained out. They are back and ready to rock the streets with their unique sound of vintage rock and roll with a Motown twist. Now that is something to dance to! .

Cost: Free.



When/Where: Friday and Saturday at Rentschler Farm, 1265 E. Michigan Ave. in Saline from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  

Why Go: Be a part of the 212-mile garage sale from Detroit to New Buffalo, the largest garage sale in the country! All proceeds from the Saline sale will go towards the Rentschler Farm and Museum.

Cost: Free to shop!



When/Where:  7 p.m., Friday at Two Twelve Arts Center, 216 W. Michigan Ave. in Saline.

Why Go: Check out the different art items created by kids who participated in Two Twelve Arts Center summer classes and camps.

Cost: Free.



When/Where:  7-8 p.m. Saturday at Brewed Awakenings Café, 7025 E. Michigan Ave. in Saline.

Why Go:  A local group of teens, ages 14-16, will perform both their own original songs and covers of rock, country and Christian tunes.  Come out and support this eight member group of young men and women.

Cost: Free



When/Where: 2-4 p.m., Sunday at , 101 S. Ann Arbor St. in downtown Saline, from 2pm-4pm.


Why Go: Check out the latest art pieces from adults who participated in summer classes and workshops at Two Twelve Art Center. You can also mingle with the artists!
