Food, Arts and Jazz Event Kicks Off Spring Arts Festival at Saline High School

Tickets for the Food, Arts and Jazz Event are $20.

The Spring Arts Festival at Saline High School takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The festival kicks off Friday at 5 p.m. with a Food, Art and Jazz event in the Saline High School Commons.

A strolling dinner buffet, prepared by the school's culinary arts students, will be served. The Saline High School Jazz Band will entertain. Student art work will also be displayed in the wrestling room.

"It's an exciting collaboration between the Saline High School music, art and culinary arts departments," said high school band director Nate Lampman. "It will be a wonderful way to kick off the Spring Arts Festival."

Tickets for the kick-off reception are $20 (or $10 for children 10 and under) and are available at Saline Community Education. Call 429-8020 for more ticket information.

The arts show continues Saturday, from 1-8 p.m. with a reception from 6-8 p.m. Refreshments will be served at the reception, which will also feature student art demonstrations. T-shirt painting will take place from 4-8 p.m.

The show also runs from 1-8 p.m., Sunday.
