December 8 Marks the Anniversary of John Lennon's Death

It's been 32 years since the tragic murder of one of the most influential musicians in history.

"Help," "Revolution," "A Day In the Life," "Give Peace a Chance," "Imagine."

Just a handful of the hundreds of memorable tunes penned and performed by John Lennon, first with the Beatles and later as a soloist.

The founder of the Quarrymen (original name of the Beatles) was shot and killed by a crazed gunman at 10:50 p.m. on this date 32 years ago, on Dec. 8, 1980.

"Imagine all the people sharing all the world."

I was a college student and my alarm clock woke me with the news on Dec. 9. I was stunned.

I was a junior in high school..confused as to why so much hatred in the world..very sad.. Forward 30 years I was lucky enough to tour New York with my daughters choir from the same high school I attended and see the beautiful "Imagine" tribute to him in Central Park..ironic and surreal as well!

There is a cool new 30min documentary on YouTube called 'Genius - The Movie', that takes a new look the genius of John Lennon. It contains some very probing stuff. I'm really sorry he's dead.
