Book Bargains at Library Friday and Saturday

Customers can buy three bags of books for $5 at Saturday's Bag Sale at the Saline District Library.

The bookshop has received many donations in the past several weeks and is well-stocked. 

"For this month only, the Bag Sale and Preview Sale prices are reduced," said Linda TerHaar, of the Friends of the Saline District Library, which operates the used book store. "This is a great time to stock up for your rest-of-the-summer reading."

The Bag Sale takes place in the library's Brecon Room from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The first bag of books costs $5. A second and third bag of books is free. Customer rewards coupons will be good for two bags free instead of one.

The "Preview Sale" will be held from 3-4 p.m. Friday in the Brecon Room. All items at this preview sale will be available at two for the price of one at regular book shop prices.

A nice selection of history books is currently featured on the "lobby cart."

The display of holiday books will go away on Friday afternoon.  Any unsold items will be available at the bag sale.  A selection of hardcover fiction, specially priced at two  for $1, will replace the holiday books Hardcover fiction inside the book shop will remain priced at $1 each.

The library is still welcoming sign-ups for the Summer Reading program! There's a program for every age group. Ask for details at the reference desk.
