Saline Farmers Market, 8 a.m. until noon, Saturday
The Saline Farmers market is running strong in the parking off of South Ann Arbor Street. The market features fresh produce, flowers and more locally produced products.
Cheer on the Hornets at SHS
Saline High School, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday
The SEC champion Saline baseball and softball teams put their great seasons on the line in the MHSAA district tournaments this weekend. The Hornets host tournaments in baseball and softball. Saline's baseball team faces a tough Bedford team at 12:30 p.m. The winner will play either Monroe or Ypsilanti Saturday in the district championship. In softball, the Hornets play Bedford at 10 a.m. The winner of that game faces Monroe or Ypsilanti in the district final.
, Noon, Sunday
Kick off the summer season at the Saline Rec Center with an open house event filled with free activities. The event features a pool party, a cookout on the patio (courtesy of the SAFD firefighters), free fitness classes and more.
Class of 2012 Commencement
6 p.m., Sunday
Sunday, friends and family as the Class of 2012 graduates from Saline High School. The commencement speaker is former University of Michigan football coach Lloyd Carr. Gates to the field will open at 5 p.m. If inclement weather forces the ceremony to be postponed, commencement will take place at 6 p.m. Monday. For more information, click here.
