Washtenaw County Red Cross Seeks Donations for Families Affected by Ypsilanti Apartment Fire

The organization has provided 11 families with food, clothing and other basic needs and another seven families with shelter after a major fire tore through an apartment complex Monday.

The American Red Cross, Washtenaw-Lenawee County Chapter has secured shelter for seven families displaced by an apartment fire in Ypsilanti Monday.

The fire gutted Schooner Cove Apartment Complex located on Bosuns Way and displaced 12 families who lived there, according to annarbor.com. Firefighters are still investigating the cause of the fire.

The Red Cross also provided food, clothing and basic needs to 11 families affected by the fire and provided food and water to residents at the scene of the fire Monday afternoon.
