VIDEO: Empty Bowls

We put video footage from Thursday's Saline Area Schools Empty Bowls project to music performed by a Saline High School string quartet.

The Saline Area Schools Empty Bowls dinner for Food Gatherers was a hit. There were 200 tickets printed up and they were long gone by 5:30 p.m. One estimate had 600 people in attendance.

All who came to the dinner received a ceramic bowl made by a Saline Area Schools student. They dined on one of five different soups, fresh bread, beverages and desserts made by the high school's culinary arts students. And they listened to music played by a Saline High School string quartet.

We'll have a story on the event posted Friday afternoon. For now, we have offer this video which features footage from the event to the music performed by Brad Kuykendall, Markus Hwang, Karl Winsor and Jeremy Seeman.
