Saline Rotary Guest Speaker DeRossett Talks About the Court System

On July 21, Gene DeRossett, court administrator for the Washtenaw 14A district court system made a presentation to the members of the Saline Rotary Club.

DeRossett’s past public service has included State Representative of the 52nd District, which includes the City of Saline. He also servedas as Michigan State Director of the United States Department of Agriculture.

In his current role as court administrator, DeRossett discussed the structure of the court system, the types of cases that are seen in the district court system, the staffing of the courts and the security used at the different court buildings. Special mention was given to the newest of the 14A District court facilities – the 14A-4 District Court building that was built in the City of Saline in 2009.
