The 'Saline Salutes' Awards will be held on April 12 and will recognize people with an outstanding record of achievement in service to the Saline community.

- Submitted by the Saline Chamber of Commerce

Area residents and business people are being encouraged to send in nominations and take advantage of the opportunity to recognize their favorite citizens at the “Saline Salutes” Awards.  Applications are now being accepted.  The event is being hosted by the Saline Area Chamber of Commerce in Saline, Michigan and will be held on Friday, April 12 at the Ellen A. Ewing Performing Arts Center at Saline High School.

In recognizing the high level of importance of service to community, each year the Chamber seeks nominations for those individuals with an outstanding record of achievement in this area.  Among the awards to be given out again will be three that are decided upon by a special “blue ribbon” panel of civic and business leaders.  Considered as awards given on behalf of a grateful community, they are the “Citizen of the Year”, “Lifetime Achievement”, and the “George Anderson Vision Award”.  A special “Youth of the Year Award” will also be presented by the Saline Youth Council.
