Nominations Open for 2011 Green Thumbs Award

The goal of the contest is to recognize Salinians for their hard work in making Saline more beautiful

Who's turning their patch into something special in Saline?

The Saline Parks Commission is now accepting nominations for the 2011 Green Thumb award.

Residents are asked to nominate their neighbors, friends, or a Saline business within Saline city limits. The gardens can be colorful, with a variety of plants, in a window box, in a back yard, or any type of garden that is eye catching.

Residents may nominate as many gardens as they want, but are asked to use a separate form for each nomination.

Nomination forms are available at City Hall, SalineRec Center and on-line at www.cityofsaline.org/parkscommission. They will be accepted June 1 – July 31, 2011. Anyone is eligible to make one or more nominations. Please submit all nominations before July 31, 2011.
