Larry Osterling to be Roasted at Chamber Event

The Ellen Ewing "Roast" will be held on Friday, Sept. 14, at 6 p.m. at Stonebridge Golf Club in Ann Arbor.

Former Saline Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Larry Osterling, will be the target of the 2012 Ellen Ewing “Roast.” This Saline Area Chamber of Commerce event began in 2001 with the “roast” of Saline’s own, well-loved former School Superintendent Ellen Ewing.

The popular evening of honoring a high profile person in the Saline community has become notorious for its choice of fun individuals who have been deemed willing and capable of enduring kidding and zings from a panel of specially-selected “roasters.”

Past “roastees” include Judge Don Shelton, Police Police Chief Paul Bunten, Fire Chief Craig Hoeft, former School Superintendent Sam Sinicropi, former Saline Mayor Pat Little, and well-known community figures Woodie Merchant, Bill Mangold and Will Warner.
