Each week, we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week.

FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK

 MOVIE NIGHT AT THE REC

Where/When: At the Saline Rec Center. Movie starts at 7:30 p.m. Friday, with activities beforehand starting at 6:30 p.m.

Why Go: Friday at the movies with the family. Bring chairs or a blanket for Toy Story 3.

Pricing: Free.

 

 FRIENDS BOOK SALES

Where/When: Saline District Library, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.

Why Go: Quality and affordable books for the whole family. And you don’t have to worry about late fines.

Pricing: Free admission.

 

 WEST SIDE STORY AT SHS

Where/When: Ellen A. Ewing Performing Arts Center, Saline High School, 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday.

Why Go: Two weeks ago, the cast . They’ll only be better, especially in the Ellen A. Ewing Auditorium.

Pricing: $10 for adults, $7 for students and seniors (over 60).

 

 SALINE KIDS DANCE CAMP

Where/When: Liberty School Cafeteria, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Friday and 3-4:30 p.m. Sunday.

Why Go: The Saline High School Dance team will train kids in grades one-five for a dance routine to be performed during the March 3 junior varsity boys basketball game halftime.

Pricing: $25 (includes T-shirt).

 

 CHELSEA TEDDY BEAR COMPANY TOURS

Where/When: Chelsea Teddy Bear Company Wearhouse, 400 N. Main St., Chelsea, 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Why Go: Have you and the kids ever toured a teddy bear company before? There’s also the Chelsea Toy Museum.
