Good Morning Saline, From Saline Area Social Service

Dersnah said the shelves at the community food pantry are nearly bare.

The agency is accepting donations of non-perishable goods (canned and boxed food).

The need is greater in the summer time, as families who relied on free and reduced lunches are now providing an extra meal each day.

Donations can be dropped off at 131 E. Michigan Ave., during regular office hours.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., on Mondays, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Saline Area Social Service provides temporary help to individuals, families and seniors in need of advice, counseling, food, medicine, referrals, and other temporary support.
