Chrissy Houle Wins Fitness Preliminary Portion in National Distinguished Young Women Pagent

Chrissy Houle is off to a great start in the national Distinguished Young Woman pageant in Mobile, Ala. Houle, a 2012 graduate who will continue her studies at Yale, is

Friday night, Houle won won the Fitness Preliminary portion of the pageant. She has spent the week in Mobile combining rehearsals and community outreach for this event 

Saline residents can watch the event finals beginning at 8 p.m. on a live webcast through www.local15tv.com. Houle’s Saline Twirlette teammates and their families will be having a watch party to cheer her on to victory.

2011 Saline High School graduate and fellow Saline Tiwrlette, Haley Williams was the State of Michigan’s 2011 Distinguished Young Woman.

Founded in 1958 in Mobile, Alabama, Distinguished Young Women is the largest and oldest national scholarship program for high school girls. More than $108 million in college scholarship opportunities were provided last year, some of which included full tuition, room, and board to first-class institutions.
