Saline ATA's Paul Teboe Becomes World Champion 3rd Year in a Row!

Mr. Paul Teboe, 5th Degree Black Belt and Head Instructor of Saline ATA Martial Arts has done it again!

For the 3rd year in a row, Mr. Teboe has become the 2013 World Champion in Combat Weapon Sparring.  Combat Weapon Sparring first premiered as an ATA competitive event in 2011 when Mr. Teboe became the 1st World Champion in his division.

ATA (American Taekwondo Association) competitors compete regionally to acquire points.  The Top Ten point-getters compete in Little Rock, Arkansas, the home of ATA, at the annual World Expo, for World Champion.  ATA is a world-wide organization with affiliates in South America and Europe.  Mr. Teboe has qualified for Top Ten events for the past several years.  This year, he qualified for 4 Top Ten events: Traditional Forms; Traditional Weapons; Traditional Sparring; and Combat Weapon Sparring.

Not only did Mr. Teboe achieve the 3-peat for Combat Weapon Sparring which is unique to him, but he also became 2013 World Champion for the first time in Traditional Sparring.  He is the only competitor to have achieved both Combat Weapon Sparring and Traditional Sparring World Champion titles in a single season.

Mr. Teboe hails from Macon, Michigan.  He opened Saline ATA Martial Arts in the summer of 2000 under the instruction of Senior Master Tomas Sandoval, owner of Sandoval's ATA in Tecumseh, Michigan.  Mr.  Teboe credits much of his success to Senior Master Sandoval who also achieved the title of 2013 World Champion in Forms competition in Little Rock this month.
