Craft Day Fundraiser for American Flags in Saline Schools

A Craft and Scrapbooking Day to raise money to buy American flags for Saline's classrooms.

On May 18th, 2013 from 10 am to 10 pm, there will be a Craft and Scrapbooking Day at Liberty School for a $30 dollar donation per participant. Meals and motivation will be provided, and all proceeds will go to buying American Flags for Saline Area Schools.

I'm Allison Collins, a Saline High School senior, and this is part of my Girl Scout Gold Award, the equivalent of Eagle Scout rank. To register for the Craft and Scrapbooking Day on May 18th, email me at allisoncollins100@gmail.com. To donate to the Saline Area Schools Flag Fund, please go to http://www.payschools.com/cat.asp?id=F1CC7AE350BC428EB668E638F1A6CFD2 or contact me. Thank you to all the community members in Saline who have been supporting the goal of putting an American flag in every Saline classroom, as required by a new law passed in October by the Michigan State Legislature. Under this law, next year all Michigan students will have the opportunity to recite the Pledge of Allegiance daily.

A big thank you to local restaurants Jet's Pizza, Mi Zarape, Mac's Acadian Seafood Shack, and Zingerman's for their food donations for the craft day. Come out and enjoy great food and fun while supporting American flags in Saline!
