Thieves Target Two Dexter Area Gas Stations

The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help to catch an unknown suspect or suspects that burglarized two Dexter area gas stations between Jan. 3-4.
According to a press release, deputies were dispatched to the Mobil gas station at 7717 Dexter-Ann Arbor Road around 3:37 a.m. on Jan. 3. Upon arrival, deputies discovered that someone had smashed out a rear glass door and gained entry into the building. Several items were knocked over but it is unclear if any items were removed, police said. This investigation is ongoing.
On Jan. 4, deputies responded to an alarm at the Citgo gas station located at
5680 Jackson Ave. in Scio Township around 2:50 a.m. Upon arrival deputies observed that the front glass door was smashed out and entry had been gained. According to police, the suspects stole a large amount of cigarettes and then fled the scene. The investigation is ongoing but there are no suspects at this time, police said.

What a ridiculous comment. The police cannot be everywhere. Your tune may change once you are in a situation requiring their assistance. I have found the WCSD to be extremely helpful.
