Looking for a way to get snow day alerts texted to your phone without having to sift through hundreds of tweets?
Saline Area Schools is using gText, a communication program designed by Saline High School senior Patrick McCarren, as its snow day alert system.
The district is still using the Edulink system to alert residents by phone, according to Superintendent Scot Graden. And the district will still notify residents using its Twitter feed and website. But for residents who want a single text, gText is the answer.
