Saline Fiddlers Have Busy Summer
The group played in front of almost 10,000 people at the Mitt Romney/Paul Ryan Rally in Commerce Township
The Saline Fiddlers had a busy summer with their Southeast USA Tour, many concert series and festivals including playing in front of almost 10,000 people at the Mitt Romney/Paul Ryan Rally in Commerce Township on August 24th and played with world renowned Violin Master Mark O'Connor at the Ark in Ann Arbor the next evening.
Saline Fiddlers performed at the first ever Great Lakes State Fair in Novi, Michigan on Monday (Labor Day) September 3rd, 2012. The event was held at the Suburban Collection Showplace. The newly formed Great Lakes State Fair is a revival of the original Michigan State Fair that used to take place in Detroit until 2009. The new Great Lakes State Fair was deemed a success and exceeded expectations for a turnout. Saline Fiddlers wowed the crowd in the Entertainment Tent/Stage.
The fall schedule for the Saline Fiddlers will keep them busy too.
They will be performing everywhere from Grand Rapids, Ohio AppleButter Fest to New Buffalo, Michigan Fine Arts Series this fall. In addition, they will be hosting their 19th annual Hometown Show here in Saline, Michigan at the Saline High School Ellen Ewing Performing Arts Center on October 27th, 2012. The featured Guest Artist at the Hometown Show will be the award winning bluegrass sensation Lonesome River Band http://lonesomeriverband.com

Did anyone consider that maybe not all the fiddlers wanted to play at the Mitt Romney/Paul Ryan Rally.

Actually, not all of them did go. Like any entertainer they perform not for the cause but for an event. They have performed at the Whitehouse three times. I think it's OK to perform and entertain ALL people without prejudice.

When is the last time any high school kid got a chance for such great exposure in front of that many people. Think about it and don't be so narrow minded.
