Man, Woman Arrested in Connection With Vodka Thefts From CVS Stores

Wayne residents face felony charges of receiving and concealing stolen property.

Saline Police arrested a man and woman Monday wanted in connection with a string of vodka thefts from several CVS locations, including stores in Plymouth Township and Northville, while recovering a car that had reported stolen out of Wayne, according to the Saline Reporter.

Stephen Michael Foreman, 26, and Sharon Marie Velasquez, 37, both of Wayne, were arraigned on charges Wednesday, the report indicated. The pair, which had been lodged in Washtenaw County Jail, also is expected to face charges from other municipalities.

According to the report, both Foreman and Velasquez could face up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine on felony charges of receiving and concealing stolen property.

A manager at CVS, 413 E. Michigan Ave. in Saline, called police after seeing a woman carrying two black bags full of bottles of alcohol trying to leave the store, according to the Saline Reporter. A woman matching the same description was wanted by Plymouth Township Police after a Feb. 15 incident in which about 10 bottles of high-end vodka were reported stolen from CVS, 1400 S. Sheldon Road in Plymouth Township, according to a Plymouth Township police report.

The Plymouth Township store’s manager told police after the Feb. 15 incident that a woman matching the same description was suspected for stealing liquor from the CVS at Five Mile and Sheldon roads in Northville on Feb. 11.

That's what happens when you cut back on staff. Lucky half the store isn't wiped out.

This women stole my wallet. Wayne police have done nothing. It was stolen 1/13 at Wayne recreation center. I may never get my things back. I saw her lingering around a child birthday party. Glad she will be brought to justice somewhere
