Letter to the Editor: Brian Marl Listens to Saline

A community member puts her support behind Marl for Saline mayor.

I heartily support the election of Brian Marl for Mayor of Saline because he has proven by his words and his actions that he truly understands what it means to be an active part of this community -- a community about which he cares deeply.

His roots are set firmly in Saline. He has attended our schools and has worked diligently and effectively as a city council member to make 48176 a better place, a vibrant place.

His interest, caring and support in the development of Two Twelve Arts Center and our local artists have proven his commitment to the value of arts and culture in our community.

Brian Marl  listens -- from  the voices of an elderly population at the Saline Senior Center to the youth from our elementary schools, Brian listens, relates, and acts upon what he hears. He is energetic, vibrant, intelligent and articulate. His visions are what Saline needs.

Saline will grow and flourish under his leadership. He cares. We are privileged to have the opportunity to vote for such a vibrant, articulate, energetic candidate and we will be lucky to have him represent the City of Saline with the vibrant sense of leadership that is Brian Marl. I hope you will vote Brian Marl for Mayor.

Margie Bovee

Director, Two Twelve Arts Center

Headlining one person's endorsement of a candidate for mayor with a staged picture is unfair politics on the part of SalinePatch, unless the same opportunity is offered to Glenn Law.
