Hornet Sprinters Make Track and Field Dream Team
Amanda Luurtsema, Quenee' Dale, Alana Hollis and Samantha Richart comprise the 4-by-100 relay team.
State Champs. Regional Champs. SEC Champs.
And now the Saline Hornet girls 4-by-100 team has been named to the Track and Field Dream Team, as presented by the Michigan Interscholastic Track Coaches Association.
The relay team is made up of Amanda Luurtsema, Quenee' Dale, Alana Hollis and Samantha Richart.
All but Richart, who graduated this spring, should return to the team next year. Luurtsema, an all state runner in the 100 dash, completed her junior year. Dale, who placed third in the state in the 100 hurdles, is a sophomore. Hollis is also a sophomore.
Steven Bastien, Saline's state champ in the long jump, also made the Dream Team and was named Mr. Track and Field by MITCA.
