Gaelic Storm Not Playing Celtic Festival

The popular Celtic music band is taking that week off.

Gaelic Storm is out as headlining act for Saturday night at the Saline Celtic Festival.

The popular Celtic music band isn't tourning this during the week of the Saline event, according to Sara Grosdidier, of ROAR, the band's touring company.

Saline Celtic Festival committee member Bob Rash reported that the band was to be a major attraction at this year's festival when speaking at Monday's Saline City Council meeting. It was hoped that a big name act would boost waning Saturday night attendance.

This week, Celtic Festival organizers learned the band wouldn't be attending.

Festival committee member Pam Grosshans said organizers will look for a suitable replacement.

"We're still working to bring in a Celtic music act that will draw a good crowd," Grosshans said.
