Feline Independence Days Allows Cat Adoptions With No Fees

Adopt an adult cat from the Humane Society of Huron Valley between now and July 6, and adoption fees will be waived.

Ask not what a kitty can do for you, but what you can do for a kitty! During “Feline Independence Days”, July 2-6, the Humane Society of Huron Valley liberates all adult cats five months of age or older from their adoption fees.

With their sparkling personalities already established, it's easy to find just the right cat to set off some fireworks in your heart! HSHV has plenty of American beauties waiting to join your family. With over 129 kittens currently available for adoption in our shelter, many of the adult cats get passed by during this time of the year. Visit www.hshv.org to see all of the wonderful felines available for adoption right now. All cats have been spayed/neutered, been given a medical evaluation, provided with vaccinations and have a microchip I.D. all included in your adoption.

The average adoption fee for an adult cat is $45, but right now you can bring home a new feline friend and let freedom ring and pay no adoption fee at all. It’s always important to remember though that caring for a pet is not cheap so please make sure you can provide, food and vet care for a cat that can live well into their late teens.

In addition to adopting, we always need more people willing to open their homes temporarily to homeless animals. Anyone interested in learning more about providing foster care to homeless animals should contact us at www.hshv.org or call (734) 661-3520.

The Humane Society of Huron Valley, located in Ann Arbor, was recently awarded the "Best Large Animal Shelter in Michigan" by the Michigan Pet Fund Alliance for saving the most lives. HSHV is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt public charity. We are independently run and rely on the generosity of people like you to continue our mission to support the loving, responsible care of every animal in our community. HSHV is not affiliated with or funded by Michigan Humane Society or any other humane organization. For more information, call (734) 662-5585 or visit www.hshv.org.
