Internationally-known Eileen Ivers & Immigrant Soul headline what promises to be one of the biggest days in the history of the Saline Celtic Festival Saturday.
Ivers, a nine-time All-Ireland Fiddle Champ and Grammy winner who was an original star of Riverdance and has played with The Chieftans, String, Patti Smith, the London Symphony Orchestra, is just one of the big names in Celtic music who will play at the Saline Celtic Festival Saturday.
Also peforming are the Tartan Terrors, Seven Nations, Rant Maggie Rant, The Bowzies and Beth Patterson.
The gates at Millpond Park open at 9 a.m. Saturday morning.
In years past, by late afternoon, the Celtic Festival was wrapping up.
Not this year.
"We wanted to give people reason to stick around all day," said Bob Rash, member of the festival's organizing committee. "So we went out and we got some of the biggest Celtic music acts in North America to come to Saline. We think we've got an outstanding day of music planned."
