Congratulations go to Irene Kitromelides (left) and Kayla Wolff (right) who were recipients of Saline Lions Club college scholarships of $1,000 each, Tuesday May 31 in the Saline High School Ellen Ewing Center for Performing Arts. The award was presented by Saline Lions Second Vice President Stephanie Frey (center), who was also a recipient of the Saline Lions Club Scholarship when she graduated from SHS in 2004. Ms. Wolff plans to study Nursing and Ms. Kitromelides plans to study medicine, both at University of Michigan. The Saline Lions Club sells ice cream to earn funds for the annual awards and considers community service, academics, field of study, and financial need in their criteria for scholarship candidacy.
